Amphora’s Solutions
The term “Electronic Lab Notebook” means different things to different people. Amphora’s ELN solutions are focused on the needs of researchers working on non-regulated environments, where productivity, searching/sharing work and patents are the main concerns.
All Amphora’s ELN systems are discipline-neutral. We believe it is important to support the widest possible variety of scientific work, because seldom do scientists work in a vacuum, and if an ELN is tailored specifically to the needs of any particular discipline, then this inevitably leads to compromise for or exclusion of other disciplines. In addition one would hope that any specific scientific discipline would evolve the specific tools and working practices employed and if these are embedded too deeply into the ELN, then the ELN will either need to be upgraded frequently (at significant cost/risk) or the ELN will be an impediment to progress.
Organizations of different sizes have different needs; smaller companies are generally most concerned about productivity, searching, and patent records as well as the total cost of the solution. Larger companies often need to manage more complex workflow and security rules within their organizations, in addition to the productivity, searching, and patent records issues that confront smaller organizations. Larger companies will also have a greater number and variety of systems that they would like to integrate with the ELN, which places a premium on flexibility and customization of the chosen solution.
We have therefore presented our solutions according to the needs of:
